How do I get my hair topper to stay in place?

If you're struggling with your topper slipping and sliding around, don't worry - we have some tips!

To make sure your hair topper stays in place all day, the key is to ensure a secure fit:

Clip In Toppers

If you're wearing a clip-in topper , make sure you're clipping into hair that's strong enough to hold the clips (*this starts with choosing the correct base size). This is also super important in order to not cause further hair loss from pulling on hair that's too delicate or sparse. Additionally, when wearing a clip-in topper, it can help to use a little bit of hair spray and back comb the area of hair that you're clipping into; this creates a more secure hold on your hair.

Tape & Adhesives

If you're using tape or adhesives to bond your topper, always check that you're using the correct type of tape. Some tapes adhere best to lace and others to polyurethane, so depending on where you're placing the tape on your topper, you'll choose the kind that works best on that base material. There are also tapes made for oily skin types or ones that will give you better tack (a.k.a. stickiness) if you sweat a lot.

Strategic Styling

Consider styling your hair along with your topper into a low pony, a braid or adding a cute head band. This can be especially helpful if you're playing sports or if you just like adding a little flair.
